Versatile pianist Matthew Bengtson, a Berks County native, offers a range of expertise in keyboard music,ranging from harpsichord music of Elizabethan England to piano works by the composers of today. He will be performing on his copy of a 1785 Anton Walter fortepiano. The concert will feature music by JS Bach, CPE Bach, Haydn,and Mozart, piecesideally suited to this instrument’s unique touch and sound.
Mr. Bengtson is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, where he teaches piano, fortepiano, and courses and seminars in piano literature, history, and culture. You are invited to meet the artist at a reception immediately following the concert.
